The Surrender of Pride

When we hold onto our pride, it's like trying to navigate through life with a heavy load that's dragging us down. It causes us to stumble, to trip, and to fall. But when we surrender our pride to Jesus, we find freedom and peace. In Isaiah 48:11, God says, 'For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, not for yours.' Sometimes, it's not about us at all; it's about His glory. And so, we must decrease for His glory to increase. We must surrender our will for His will. Let's not be fooled into thinking that our lives are our own. Everything we have, everything we are, belongs to God. When we grasp this truth, we'll be more willing to surrender our pride and put God first in our lives. And when we do, we'll find rest in Him and joy in serving Him. As Paul wrote in Philippians 4:13, 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' But to experience this strength, we must first let go of our pride and surrender to His power. --- Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, help me to surrender my pride and self-interest to You. I desire to see Your glory increase in my life, and I trust that You will give me strength to step aside and let You shine through. May Your peace and rest be my portion today, as I submit my will to yours in Jesus' name, Amen.
