Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Matthew 10:8

The Bible teaches that healing is a part of our faith, a manifestation of God's love and care for us. Jesus commissioned his followers to heal the sick, drive out demons, and raise the dead (Matthew 10:8). This isn't just about physical healing, but also about emotional and spiritual restoration. The story of Jesus and the blind man in John 9 is a powerful example of this. When the disciples asked Jesus who sinned, the blind man or his parents, Jesus replied that neither of them had sinned. Instead, he said that the blind man was born blind so that God's works might be displayed in him (John 9:3). Jesus then proceeded to heal the man, giving him sight and restoring him to wholeness. As believers, we have the power to heal others because of what Jesus has done for us. We're called to be vessels of His love and care, to bring hope and redemption to a world that desperately needs it. But we can't do this on our own strength; we must receive from God in order to give to others. As the Bible says, we've received freely, so we must give freely (Matthew 10:8). In what ways can you surrender your life to God's power and love, trusting that He will use you to bring healing to others? Remember, it's not about your ability or talent, but about your willingness to receive from God and give to others in His name. --- Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of healing that You've given us through Jesus. Help us to receive from You and give to others in His name. Use us to bring hope and redemption to a world that desperately needs it. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
