Surrender to the One Who Loves You

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Galatians 2:20

Surrendering to Christ is not a one-time decision, but a daily choice. It's the choice to put to death our old self, with all its desires and ambitions, and to live a new life in Christ. When we surrender to Christ, we acknowledge that we are no longer the masters of our own destiny, but that He is the one who guides and directs us. This surrender is not easy, and it's not without cost. Jesus said, 'If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.' (Luke 9:23) But it's in this surrender that we find true freedom and joy. We find the strength to live a life that's not our own, but one that's been lived for the glory of God. As we surrender to Christ, we must also surrender our plans and our expectations. We must learn to trust Him to guide us and to provide for us, even when we don't understand what He's doing. This surrender is not a sign of weakness, but of faith. It's a sign that we trust in the goodness and love of God, and that we're willing to follow Him, no matter where He leads us. But why should we surrender to Christ? Because He first surrendered for us. He gave Himself up for us, and He gave us the gift of eternal life. He's the one who loved us most, and who wants to be Lord of our lives. Let us surrender to Him, and let Him lead us on the path of righteousness and peace. --- Prayer Dear Father, I surrender my life to You. I choose to put to death my old self and to live a new life in Christ. Help me to trust in Your goodness and love, and to follow You wherever You lead me. In Your name, Amen.
