You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste, how can it be made salty? The salt is thrown away.
Matthew 5:13
As followers of Jesus, we are called to be salty. But what does that mean exactly? Simply put, it means we bring flavor and purpose to the world around us. When we live out our faith with authenticity and humility, we have the power to transform lives and make a lasting impact.
But the question remains, how do we stay salty? How do we maintain that flavor that brings life to a dying world? The answer is not to try harder or work more. Rather, it's to stay close to the One who makes us salty in the first place. It's to spend time in His presence, reading His Word, and listening to His voice.
And then there's the call to be light. Jesus said we are to be light in the darkness, shining brightly for all to see. This means living a life that reflects the light of Christ in every aspect - our words, our actions, our attitudes, and our hearts. It's not always easy, but as we stay connected to Jesus, we receive the power to shine brighter with each passing day.

Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, help us to stay close to You, the One who makes us salty. Empower us to shine brightly for Your glory, bringing light to a world that desperately needs it. May our lives reflect Your love and Your light, touching hearts and transforming lives. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
