Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
Today's world often encourages us to be independent, to take care of ourselves, and to be self-sufficient. But Jesus offers a different way, one of surrender and receiving rest from Him.
When we try to carry our burdens alone, we become weary and burdened, unable to find peace. That's why Jesus invites us to come to Him, to lay our burdens at His feet, and to find rest in His presence. This isn't a call to be passive or helpless, but rather to be vulnerable and open to God's care.
Surrendering to God means recognizing our limitations and acknowledging that we can't do it on our own. It means being willing to let go of control and trust that He has everything under His control. As we surrender, we experience a sense of freedom and peace that we've never known before.
As we learn to surrender to God, we're not losing control – we're gaining something much greater. We're gaining the love, care, and rest that only He can provide. So, come to Jesus today, and surrender your burdens to Him. Find rest in His presence and discover the freedom that comes from living in His loving care.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, help me to surrender my burdens to You today. Give me the courage to let go of control and trust that You have everything under Your control. I come to You, weary and burdened, and ask for Your rest and peace. Thank You for being my rock and my refuge. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
