For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Imagine receiving a gift from a loved one that you didn't deserve. You would likely be surprised, grateful, and perhaps even a bit humbled. That's how we should feel about God's gift of salvation through His grace. It's an undeserved favor that's been freely given to us through faith in Jesus Christ. In Ephesians 2:8-9, the apostle Paul reminds us that this gift is not something we earned or deserved. It's a result of God's sovereign love and kindness towards us. The beauty of God's grace is that it's not a reward for our behavior or performance. It's not something we can earn by being good or following a set of rules. No, God's grace is a gift that's freely given to us, despite our failings and flaws. This means that we can't boast about our salvation or our accomplishments. It's all about God's goodness and love towards us. As we walk in the light of God's grace, we're invited to receive the gift of salvation with humility and gratitude. We're reminded that our worth and value come not from our own achievements, but from the love and acceptance of our Heavenly Father. May we cherish this precious gift and live out the freedom and joy that comes from knowing we're loved and accepted just as we are. --- Prayer Dear Father, thank you for the gift of Your precious grace. Help me to receive this gift with humility and gratitude. May I live out the freedom and joy that comes from knowing I'm loved and accepted just as I am. In Jesus' name, Amen.
