And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

The Bible clearly states that faith is essential to pleasing God. But what does this mean exactly? Faith is more than just a feeling or an emotion; it's a choice to trust in the Character of God and His promises. As humans, we often struggle with doubts and uncertainty. We may find ourselves questioning whether God is really with us, whether He cares, and whether He's working everything out for our good. But in moments like these, it's essential to remember that faith is the anchor of our souls (Hebrews 6:19). It's what holds us fast in times of turmoil and keeps us from being tossed about by the waves of life. In Hebrews 11, we're introduced to a list of faithful giants – people who trusted God in the midst of impossible circumstances. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and others all had an unwavering faith that led them to do things that might seem crazy to us. But what they knew, and what we often forget, is that faith isn't based on what we can see or feel; it's based on what we know about God. --- Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart of faith. Help me to trust in Your goodness, Your wisdom, and Your promise to always work everything out for my good. May my faith be a steady anchor in life's storms, and may I stand tall as a faithful follower of You in the midst of uncertainty. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
