A Faith-Building Habit

Having faith is a beautiful gift from God, but it's not something we stumble upon by chance. Rather, faith is cultivated within us as we make a conscious effort to hear and understand the Word of God. In Romans 10:17, the Bible says, 'So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.' This implies that our faith is strengthened every time we take the time to listen to and obey God's Word. When we prioritize hearing God's voice, we begin to develop trust in His character and promises. Habits take practice, and one of the key habits of a person of faith is deliberately carving out time to listen to and reflect on Scripture. We don't grow faith by reading about it or hearing a single sermon; we cultivate it with every moment we commit to understanding and applying God's instructions. Our faith will only grow if our listening ear grows in intimacy with the Bible. --- Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, I crave to hear Your voice and build my faith. Speak to me today through Your precious Word, and give me the heart to seek You with every breath. May I know Your love and trust in Your goodness above all else. Amen.
